The City offers four pension plans Police and Fire pensions (that serve sworn members of the police and fire system), General Employee pension (that serve general employees) and Management employees (that serve management employees).
Full-time permanent City of Miramar employees participate in one of the following pension plans:
· Police - Police Benevolent Association (PBA)
· Fire - International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF)
· General Employees – General Employee Pension (GE)
· Management Employees – Management Pension Plans
DEFERRED COMPENSATION (Section 457 PLAN)
For additional ways for saving towards retirement, the City offers voluntary, tax-deferred Deferred Compensation through ICMA-RC or Nationwide.
