WWRF Digester Cleaning and Refurbishment

The City of Miramar has been operating the Waste Water Reclamation Facility (WWRF) since 1997. The plant incorporates a two stage digester system that has been in operation since the year 2000. The digester system is used to stabilize waste bacteria so that it is safe for land application per the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) requirements. 

March 2020 - Project is on hold until evaluations of the WWRF capacity and backup plan.  Expect to receive the recommendations in 3 months.  

February 2020 - Project is on hold until evaluations of the WWRF capacity and an approved back plan is on file.  

January 2020 - As of January 14, 2020, no new updates.  

December 2019 - No update. 

November 2019 - No update. 

October 2019 - No update. 

September 2019 - No update. 

August 2019 - No update since the last reporting period.

July 2019 - No update. Staff to prepare the agenda item for Commission.

June 2019 - No update

May 2019 - No update

April 2019 - No updates to report.

March 2019 - No updates to report.

February 2019 - Proposals received exceeded amount budgeted. Will need to add to FY20 budget. 

January 2019 - Scope received from vendor. Staff preparing RFQ for advertising. 

December 2018 - No updates to report. 

November 2018 - Contacting FDEP regarding permitting requirements. Preparing scope of work for RFQ by end of December or January 2019.
